The New Beginning

Hundreds and thousands of years ago the world was very different from what we are used to know. The world was one large piece of land surrounded by the clearest of water. Forests were large and lush with old and new trees. It was a beautiful land, wondrous and magical in many ways. It was full of what we know today as “myths”. Dragons, Elves, Fairies and every other creature imaginable once roamed the lands. They lived in peace, helping each other and never fighting.

This world was full of magic, power like no other. People used it for good. “The Old World”, as people call it now, had a monarchy government. They lived under the Empresses Krynn with a King and Queen of each nation. They practiced the now lost religion of “Jaydism”, which worshipped the four gods Fire, Water, Earth and Wind. They lived peacefully for hundreds of years.

But with the rise of Lunar Elves and Drow Elves, things started to change. The Lunars and Drows wanted power and would do anything to obtain it. They started wars against neighboring villages, pitting allies against one another other. And when the Empress, Caladtien Krynn, fell everything only got worse. The Gods were now in danger, the entire Old World descended into chaos and darkness.

Fire was first the first to die, drowned to death in her own home. Next was Wind, who was poisoned by one of his favorite meals. Water was brutally murdered and Earth vanished without a trace. And with the death of three of the gods, and the disappearance of the last of them, the Drows and Lunars won.

As the years passed the Lunars and Drows fell, all the magic falling with them. The Old World was no more. No magic, no fairies, no peace. But a new civilization, our civilization started.

It’s been centuries since The Old World ever was, and it’s now modern day earth. And on a small island off of Japan named Lerina, things have started to change. Lerina, more specifically a city called Kohanir, holds the last remaining memories of The Old World. Books of Jaydism and the land the world once was have been found. No one knows what they mean.

And now Earth was returned and the other Gods are being reborn. The powers The Old World once had in everyone are appearing in every day people. People are starting to get these magical powers. And now with the return of Earth, the new Gods and the people with powers are being drawn to Kohanir. Kohanir, home to the world’s most prestigious high school. And with the rise of these powers, also comes the rise of people who want them gone.

Will you be a God, an average person with abnormal abilities, or one who wants them gone? Or, perhaps, will you be a normal person in general, standing by and watching things change for the better? Or the worse? The Old World wants to live again. Will you let it?
