The Rules
Be sure to read all that there is to know before role-playing. This helps you to better understand the site and what is going on. This means old members also need to be sure to keep an eye out for slight plot changes or enhancements.
Listen to Staff Members! This means Admins, Moderators or Co-Admins, but also any Staff in training demand your respect as well. If you see a staff member breaking the rules PM The Admin and s/he will look into the problem.
If you fail to post a profile within two weeks of joining, your account may be deleted, unless you notify an admin otherwise.
Do not take every detail of your character from another character. This is unfair to the original character designer. This means you may not make a character named Aaron Carter, use the model Aaron Carter, with Aaron Carter's personality. Be original!
Keep your character believable--considering this is a supernatural role playing setting. Your character may be unique but everyone and every creature has a weakness. You cannot be invincible. I will allow characters to be in more then one place at a time. This can help to keep post counts high and keep people posting.
There is no limit on characters but you must have them on separate accounts. If I find any of them are inactive they will be deleted.
Cannons are limited to two cannons per person. You may not take two cannons who are related or in a plot together. Meaning you can not be both Neeah and Iri, or Alena and Monden. Role playing with yourself should not be necessary to move a plot forward...that’s just weird!
Banners must not have a height higher than 500 Pixels. Length is up to you, but don't stretch the screen!!
Posting
Do NOT double post! There is a modify button—please use it. Double posting is simply a way to get post count up.
No Flaming. Flaming people is rude and unfair. Respect your fellow Role-players.
When posting try to use as much detail as possible. The more detail the more the next person can respond to. I expect at least 6 lines of typing. Try to include your character's facial expressions, actions and tone of voice. Even the littlest habit can make a difference in the reactions of your fellow role-players.
If you are going away for more then two days, please leave a message stating so in your signature saying when you will be leaving and when you will be back.
NO SPAM! This means no pointless posts (ex. "Ha ha that’s awesome"). If you can't post something worth it then don't post at all. The only exception to this rule is the Forum Games Board. Some games do involve spam.
Please keep swearing to a minimum
If you choose to include mature content (Sex or mature humor) please make sure the thread's name says so. (Ex. A night on the beach...(Open) [MATURE CONTENT]) Some people do not want to be included in mature role-plays.
You are not allowed to role-play another person’s character. You can not decide their reactions and actions. That is for the character's owner to decide. This also includes posts where you turn around and someone is just there--ex. "Sarah was enjoying her day--everything was well. After spending a great deal of time at the lake she heard the snap of a twig behind her and swung around to see..." This forces others to bring their characters into the role-play in a way you decided. It restricts character freedom.
Do not kill another person's character without permission. If they do wish to have their character killed and you do want to kill them it is fair game. Be sure that both of you PM The Admin first so that there is viable proof that you have both agreed. Thank you.
Spelling and grammar are a big deal. I am extremely picky about this. Use the spell check, that’s what it is there for. Grammar I will let slide, but spelling errors can be fixed by taking a short minute of your time to spell check your posts. This also means NO chat speak (other than in the OOC board and Chat Box).
The Chat Box
Please Keep Swearing to a minimum
No Flaming. Flaming people is rude and unfair. Respect your fellow Role-players.
Be Respectful! If you have an argument or a conversation that is not appropriate take it to Private Messages. Some members do not want to hear preaching, arguments or debates.
Conclusive
If you see any of the above occurring and nothing is being done, it is your responsibility to tell an Admin. Report any bad behavior to the staff members. We can't check every post and every thread so we do need the help of the members to enforce the rules. (This does not mean that every spelling error made needs to be reported, Just the major and consistent problems. We will let you be the judge of how important you think a problem is). If you do report bad behavior to us your name will remain confidential and no one will know that you were the one who reported the problem.
